Stephen J. Tinney is a Clark Research Associate Professor specializing in Assyriology and serves as the Deputy Director of the Penn Museum. He is an Associate Curator in the Babylonian Section and the director of the Pennsylvania Sumerian Dictionary Project. Tinney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Assyriology from Cambridge University, England, and a PhD in Assyriology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
