Dr. Steve Blanc

Biography

Steve Blanc has practiced tax procedure for over 37 years as a trial attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel of the IRS in San Diego and Chicago. He has litigated numerous cases before the United States Tax Court. In private practice, he spent a decade litigating civil and criminal tax cases in a nationally known tax controversy firm, Hochman, Salkin, et al, in Beverly Hills, California. He continues to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court, the Los Angeles Superior Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Steve operates his own tax procedure practice, representing businesses and individuals in various tax-related legal matters. He brings 35 years of teaching experience in various facets of taxation. His teaching background includes instruction in taxation at prominent business schools such as Northwestern University, Golden Gate University, and Northern Illinois University for students pursuing undergraduate and master's degrees. Additionally, he teaches taxation to J.D. candidates at Northern Illinois University and specializes in Tax Procedure.
