Biography

Steve Cho is a Professor and Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is engaged in translational molecular imaging research, focusing on the clinical translation of novel and existing PET radiopharmaceuticals to improve clinical management and therapy development for cancer. His current research centers on prostate cancer and lymphoma. In addition to oncology research, he is exploring non-oncologic imaging applications, specifically within the field of PET imaging of brown adipose tissue. Cho is also involved in a pilot study for pancreatic PET imaging using Manganese-51 PET, which emphasizes the metabolism aspect of imaging. He serves as the Director of the Clinical Good Manufacturing Practice Radiopharmaceutical Production Facility and the Director of the Cancer Research Imaging Core at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center (UWCCC). Furthermore, he is the Associate Director of the UW PET Imaging Center, where he oversees various research initiatives and collaborations.
