His current research project critically examines the intersection of masculinity and neoliberalism. He has supervised graduate students in various areas including men and masculinities, gendered violence, cultural representations of same-sex relationships, and tattooed bodies, contributing to discussions around GLBT pride organizations, media representations of cultural otherness, and social movements intersecting with internet, poststructural, new materialist theories, and genderqueer politics.
