Steve Ulrich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Université de Sherbrooke in 2004, followed by a Master of Applied Science in 2006. He earned his PhD in aerospace engineering from Carleton University in 2012. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Space Systems Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2013, contributing to the development and experimental validation of vision-based relative control systems for International Space Station expeditions 34 and 35. His research interests are focused on spacecraft guidance and control algorithms, software for spacecraft proximity operations, attitude dynamics control, computer vision-based systems, space automation, robotics, and formation flying.
