Steven Aronin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles with high honors and graduated from the Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in the Yale Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program and followed with a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is also the Hospital Epidemiologist. Dr. Aronin became a Core Faculty member at Waterbury Hospital in 2009 and serves as the Scientific Director and Sub-specialty Coordinator for Infectious Disease in the Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and the President of the Connecticut Infectious Disease Society. His academic interests include meningitis, endocarditis, and HIV infection, with a focus on incorporating HIV screening into routine care. Outside of work, he enjoys biking, basketball, and baking.
