Biography

Steven Chaikelson has been an adjunct assistant professor and theatre management program coordinator for Columbia University School of the Arts since 1998. He co-authored 'Theatre Law: Cases Materials' with Robert M. Jarvis, published by Carolina Academic Press in 2004. Chaikelson has managed and produced numerous theatrical productions on Broadway in the United States. His credits as a theatre manager include 'Elaine Stritch: At Liberty' in 2002, 'George Gershwin Alone' in 2001, and 'Moon Misbegotten' in 2000. He also worked on productions such as 'Death of a Salesman' starring Brian Dennehy in 1999, 'Fool Moon' from 1995 to 1998, and Julia Sweeney's 'God Said Ha!' in 1996. Chaikelson holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School obtained in 1993 and an A.B. from Columbia College earned in 1989.
