Steven Danyluk is a Professor Emeritus at the Georgia W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering. He joined the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1993 and holds the Morris M. He has developed innovative optical methods for probing surface chemistry and residual stresses. Dr. Danyluk's research has received funding from the Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation, as well as numerous industrial partnerships. He has held various leadership roles within academic and professional societies and has been recognized as a Fellow of several institutions, including the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
