Professor Dr. Steven Edwards

Biography

Steve Edwards is an Adjunct Professor at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, teaching various elements of real estate development and investment. He has a diverse background in real estate and technology, having spent over 20 years sourcing, entitling, developing, redeveloping, and managing unique real estate development projects. Edwards has been responsible for projects valued at $1 billion through various stages of entitlement and development. He leads highly specialized mixed-use development projects that integrate hospitality and creative placemaking techniques with emerging prop-tech solutions in a sustainable manner. His experience includes working with Rethink Development, a boutique real estate development company, and Ensemble Investments, a full-service development firm. Before his real estate career, he managed technology product development for a digital entertainment technology company and co-founded a knowledge management software company based on a neural network engine. Edwards holds a degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, and a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from the same university.
