Biography

Steve Erickson is a Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. He received his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Ferris State College in 1980 and his PharmD from Wayne State University in 1984. In addition to his teaching role, he serves as a Faculty Affiliate at the Wayne State University Developmental Disabilities Institute since January 2012. Erickson is a five-time recipient of the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy Student Appreciation Award. His research interests include the development and assessment of innovative pharmacy services aimed at improving medication usage outcomes, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and exploring factors related to health-related quality of life and medication adherence. He has received multiple accolades for his contributions to pharmacy education and practice, including several Teaching Excellence Awards and recognition from professional pharmacy organizations.
