Biography

Steven holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management, an MSc in Environmental Science, and a PhD in Sustainable Rural Development. He is currently the Head of the Subject Environment and Programme Director for the BSc Environmental Science and Sustainability degree at the University of Glasgow. Steven contributes to multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the School and is involved in the Joint Graduate School's Environmental Science programme with Nankai University in China. His current research interests include ecological restoration, community land ownership, and upland management. Additionally, he has supervised PhD students and has taken an active role in several funded projects, focusing on environmental science and sustainability education. Throughout his career, Steven has been recognized as a Full Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence and professional development in his field.
