Dr. Steven Katz

Biography

Dr. Steven Katz is a Professor of Medicine at Queen's University and a rheumatologist with extensive training in internal medicine and rheumatology, having completed his medical education at the University of Manitoba and the University of Alberta, respectively. He also holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education from the University of Dundee. Dr. Katz has served as the Director of the Rheumatology Core Internal Medicine training programs at the University of Alberta, where he has been recognized with various teaching and mentoring awards, including the Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Association for Medical Education. His research interests focus on improving access to care and the quality of care for rheumatology patients, and he is actively involved in developing technology-based models to optimize care for individuals suffering from rheumatic diseases.
