Biography

Steven Kettell is a Reader in Politics at the University of Warwick, specializing in the fields of Politics and International Studies. He earned his BSc (Hons) in Politics from Plymouth and a Master's in Comparative Politics from York, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Warwick in 2003 focusing on British monetary policy during the interwar period. Kettell is a founding Co-Executive Editor for British Politics and has also co-edited the Oxford Encyclopedia of Politics and Religion. His primary research interests lie in the areas of politics, secularism, and the role of non-religion in the public sphere. He has contributed significantly to the academic discourse around religion and global politics, as well as the impact of religion in public life. Through his scholarly work, he engages with the complex interactions between religious and political dimensions in contemporary society.
