Biography

Steven Lecce is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Manitoba. He has been teaching since 2007, specializing in political theory and the history of political thought. His research focuses on contemporary political theory, theories of justice, identity politics, and critiques of liberalism. Lecce has contributed to significant publications, including 'Justice, Rights, Toleration: Essays', co-edited with Richard Vernon and others, and 'Fragile Freedoms: Global Struggle for Human Rights'. He obtained his PhD in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2004, with prior degrees from the same institution and the University of Toronto. Notably, he received the Vincent Lemieux Prize in 2005 for his PhD thesis in political science, awarded by the Canadian Political Science Association. Lecce is currently accepting graduate students for mentorship in these areas of study.
