Dr. Steven Lipman

Biography

Steven Seth Lipman is a Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Pain Medicine at Stanford University. His clinical and research interests primarily focus on Women's Health, including the continuum of care for patients from conception through childbirth and beyond, particularly those needing assisted reproductive technologies and those presenting for gynecologic and breast surgical procedures. His research has explored patient safety in Women's Health and Neonatal Health, emphasizing the performance of medical teams during critical scenarios like maternal cardiac resuscitation. Lipman has practiced in Southern California for six years and has recently dedicated his career to mentoring fellows in the Obstetrics Anesthesia Fellowship program at Stanford. He has significant administrative experience, contributing to the evaluation of curriculum and performance reviews within the Division of Obstetric Anesthesia. Throughout his career, he has actively engaged in manuscript reviews for notable journals and has been involved in various committees aimed at improving patient safety and education.
