Dr. Steven Rogers

Biography

Steven Rogers is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director at the University of Manchester's School of Nursing and Midwifery. He is a UK NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Science and holds honorary status as a Senior Clinical Vascular Scientist at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where he engages in patient care. Steven completed his PGCert and became an Accredited Vascular Scientist in 2014 after earning his PhD in 3D Ultrasound from the University of Manchester in 2019. He is a founding member of the Society for Vascular Technology Great Britain and Ireland (SVT) Research Committee and has held significant roles, including Conference Secretary, since joining. His research primarily focuses on advanced vascular ultrasound techniques, with an emphasis on 3D contrast-enhanced ultrasound for surgical planning. He plays a vital role in supervising PhD and MPhil students and has secured over £3 million in grant funding. Steven actively reviews manuscripts and grant applications for leading international journals and funding bodies. Additionally, he has provided advice to organizations like NICE and the UK Biobank and contributes to education as a visiting lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. His expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and healthcare advancements.
