Biography

Dr. Steven D. Spandorfer is an Associate Professor of Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and a renowned specialist in reproductive medicine and infertility. He earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University in 1984 and completed his M.D. in 1988, graduating as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa medical honor society and Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his internship at the Portsmouth Naval Academy and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania. Following his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, he joined the Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) faculty in 1998. Dr. Spandorfer is board certified in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and has authored numerous articles published in leading medical journals. His research interests focus on autologous endometrial coculture, embryo implantation, and improving IVF success rates, particularly for patients with poor embryo quality. With over 100 presentations at national and international medical meetings, he is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and involved with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Spandorfer offers comprehensive treatments for reproductive disorders and has clinical expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including advanced reproductive technologies.
