Biography

Steven M. Wright is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Royce E. Wisenbaker Professor II at Texas A&M University. He is also affiliated faculty with the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Wright earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1984, building a distinguished career in areas such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Antenna Theory. His research interests focus on instrumentation and methodology in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, as well as numerical methods and phased arrays in Antenna Theory and Electromagnetics. He has been recognized as a Fellow of several prestigious organizations including the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). Additionally, he has received numerous awards including the TEES Fellow Award and the James Stone Faculty Fellow award from Texas A&M University College of Engineering. Proficient in leading innovative research, he has significantly contributed to advancements in engineering education and applied technology.
