Biography

Dr. Steven Yip is a Staff Medical Oncologist at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, Alberta, and serves as the Medical Oncology Lead for Precision Oncology & Experimental Therapeutics (POET) in the Southern Alberta GU Tumour Group. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. His academic focus is on translational research, particularly in PSMA PET/CT imaging and novel radiopharmaceutical drug development for advanced prostate cancer treatments. He completed his medical oncology fellowship in clinical translational research at BC Cancer under the supervision of Dr. Kim Chi. Dr. Yip received his MD from the University of Alberta and has also trained at the University of British Columbia and the University of Calgary, where he furthered his education with a Master of Science in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University.
