Biography

Steven Zipperstein is the Daniel E. Koshland Professor of Jewish Culture History at Stanford University. He has taught at universities across Russia, Poland, France, and Israel, and he spent six years at Oxford University. Zipperstein served for sixteen years as the Director of the Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford. He is also an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
