Biography

Stijn (pronounced "Stine") is a Lecturer in Environmental Engineering at University College London. His expertise lies in waste management and the circular economy. He leads a research group focusing on industrial ecology and policy, examining how public policy influences the use of materials and energy in society. The group's research methods include material flow analysis (MFA), life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic modeling, and policy analysis, collaborating with industry and policymakers to support transitions toward a sustainable circular economy.
