Biography

Stuart Boden is an Associate Professor in the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) at the University of Southampton. He graduated from the University of Oxford in 2004 with a first-class honours degree in Materials Science and joined ECS in 2009 after being awarded a PhD in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with a focus on the development of nanostructured antireflective surfaces for photovoltaics. In 2009, he secured a post-doctoral research fellowship at ECS, funded by Carl Zeiss, to develop applications for a helium ion microscope. Stuart was appointed as a lecturer at ECS in 2014 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020.
