Biography

Stuart Croft is the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Warwick, appointed on February 1, 2016. He previously held the position of Provost at the University since 2013, where he was responsible for leading academic development and implementation of the academic resourcing strategy. Croft served as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research (Arts and Social Sciences) from 2011, focusing on the research strategy and collaborations in these fields. With a background in International Security, he joined the University in January 2007 as a Professor. Prior to Warwick, he spent 18 years at the University of Birmingham—the last years as Professor of International Relations and Head of the School of Social Sciences. He has contributed to significant research programs, including the ESRC's New Security Challenges Programme.
