I am a NHMRC Early Career Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Virology Research Laboratory, SEALS Microbiology, Prince Wales Hospital School of Women’s Children’s Health, University of New South Wales. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at UNSW with a double major in Molecular Biology and Medical Microbiology Immunology and received a first class honours research recipient inaugural Stillbirth Foundation Australia PhD Scholarship. My PhD project investigated human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immunomodulation and its implications on placenta and pregnancy outcomes, while also developing novel antiviral siRNA molecules as potential therapeutics. Throughout my research career, I have accumulated extensive national and international experience and expertise in virology, immunology, placentology, and molecular diagnostics, collaborating with leading institutions, including the Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology at the University of Nuremberg-Erlangen, Germany.
