Biography

Stuart Peacock holds the Leslie Diamond Chair in Cancer Survivorship at Simon Fraser University and serves as the Co-Director of the Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control (ARCC). This pan-Canadian research centre is dedicated to providing interdisciplinary leadership in health economics, health services, policies, and ethics in research related to cancer. Within the realm of cancer control, Stuart has distinguished himself as a Scientist at the Cancer Control Research of the British Columbia Cancer Agency and has served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health. He has been past President of the International Society for Priorities in Health Care. Over the past 20 years, his main research interests have focused on developing effective cancer services, ensuring fairness and transparency in health system funding decisions, and improving the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors. His teaching interests encompass health economics, priority setting, and cancer policy.
