Biography

Stuart Snaith is an Associate Professor and Academic Director of Undergraduate Programs at the Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria (UVic). He joined UVic in 2015 after previous positions at Essex Business School and the University of Bristol, UK. His research primarily focuses on international finance, particularly in relation to foreign exchange markets. Notable topics of his work include testing key parity conditions, the forward premium anomaly, and the purchasing power parity puzzle. His recent research also encompasses modeling and forecasting of foreign exchange implied volatility and the analysis of market efficiency in commodity futures. Snaith has contributed numerous articles to notable scholarly journals such as the Journal of Banking & Finance and the Journal of Futures Markets. He teaches various courses, including Management Finance and International Finance at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and has co-supervised PhD students to successful completion.
