Biography

Subha Kalyaanamoorthy’s research focuses on employing computational methods to address biological, health, and environmental challenges. Her work involves a hybrid scientific approach in which her research group develops novel hypotheses using in silico methods and validates them through wet lab experiments. Her research primarily engages multiple disciplines including molecular modeling, molecular dynamics simulations, quantum modeling, protein biochemistry, machine learning, and phylogenetic inference in bioinformatics to understand the structure, function, dynamics, and evolution of proteins. She is also interested in structure-ligand-based drug discovery, biomolecular simulations, enzymology, computational genomics, and environmental contamination remediation.
