Biography

Subhash Rakheja is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University. His research focuses on several critical areas, including human response to vibration and shock, vehicle dynamics, and optimization of vibration control system design. He has contributed significantly to understanding directional control stability in commercial vehicles, driver-vehicle interactions, and the impact of hand-transmitted vibration from power tools. Furthermore, his work covers seating dynamics related to driver vibration, as well as semi-active and active vibration control mechanisms. Rakheja's extensive research in vehicle ride dynamics and suspension analysis reflects his commitment to advancing knowledge in mechanical engineering and improving vehicle safety and comfort.
