Dr. Subhasish Chakraborty

Biography

Dr. Subhasish Chakraborty is a Senior Lecturer in the Materials, Devices and Systems Research Division of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester. His research focuses on the theoretical and experimental aspects of nanophotonics, including aperiodic lattices and silicon nanophotonics. Dr. Chakraborty's work has resulted in significant advancements such as the development of integrated tunable graphene lasers and THz quantum cascade lasers. He has been the principal investigator on multiple grants that explore photonic engineering and has published extensively in high-impact journals. His lab is recognized for its state-of-the-art capabilities in testing high-precision nanodevices.
