Biography

Sue Heath is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Manchester, specializing in housing, home, and everyday domesticity. Her research particularly focuses on home-making practices, shared living arrangements, and intergenerational dependencies, particularly highlighted in her work on 'Generation Rent'. Over the years, she has led various externally funded projects, including those funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Notably, the 'Under Roof' project investigated everyday relational practices in contemporary communal living, culminating in a book published by Routledge in 2018.
