Biography

Sue Twine is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Biology at Carleton University. She leads the Mass Spectrometry NMR research facilities at the National Research Council’s Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre, where she supports the development of vaccines and protein-based biologics. Her research focuses on the application of mass spectrometry and allied approaches to enhance the understanding of interactions between bacterial pathogens and human hosts. This includes deciphering the role of bacterial post-translational modifications in host colonization, an area known as bacterial glycobiology, and investigating host immune response related to diseases through immunoproteomics.
