Professor Dr. Sujay Kansagra

Biography

Sujay Kansagra, MD is a professor at Duke University, where he directs the Pediatric Neurology Sleep Medicine Program. He is an active clinician-researcher specializing in the treatment of various sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and parasomnias. Dr. Kansagra's previous clinical research has focused on sleep pathology regarding rare conditions like alternating hemiplegia of childhood and infantile Pompe disease. He has served as the principal investigator for multi-centered pharmacologic trials concerning migraine and narcolepsy. A prolific author, Dr. Kansagra has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed research publications and authored five books. His current research endeavors include developing novel technology to assist in behavioral treatment for insomnia in children.
