Dr. Sujay Sanghavi

Biography

Sujay Sanghavi is a professor in the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He joined Texas ECE in July 2009 after earning his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests encompass the central challenges of modern systems, emphasizing large-scale networking and high-dimensional data analysis with a focus on algorithm design and evaluation. He has received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in January 2010, which recognizes outstanding researchers who integrate education and research. His work has significantly influenced the fields of Decision, Information, and Communications Engineering (DICE) as well as machine learning, optimization algorithms, and networks.
