Biography

Sujit K. Sahu received his PhD in Statistics from the University of Connecticut, USA, in 1994. He worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Cambridge and briefly served as a lecturer at Cardiff University from 1997 to 1999. Sahu joined the University of Southampton in 1999, where he focuses on applied Bayesian modelling and statistical methodologies. He has co-authored over 60 papers and published a comprehensive textbook, "Bayesian Modelling Spatio-Temporal Data R", through Chapman Hall/CRC Press in 2022. His research interests include applied Bayesian modelling, spatio-temporal data modelling, and statistical inference. He is actively involved in research across various domains such as health services, climate, and ecological data. His dedication extends to teaching statistics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and he is currently developing an introductory textbook on probability and statistics for data-based sciences.
