Biography

Sujoy Banik joined the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Western University as a Clinical Assistant Professor in July 2020. He graduated with an MBBS from the University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi in India in 2006, followed by an MD in Anesthesia from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in 2010. Dr. Banik completed a senior residency and further specialized in Neuroanesthesiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He has authored over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has experience as a Consultant in Neuroanesthesia. Currently, he leads the Neuroanesthesia Fellowship Program at Western University and serves as the Neuroanesthesia Rotation Coordinator. His main research interests include awake craniotomy, brain cancer, functional neurosurgery, and the application of dexmedetomidine in Neuroanesthesia.
