Biography

Sundeep Rangan is a Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where he serves as the Director of NYU WIRELESS, an innovative academic research center focusing on next-generation wireless systems. He co-founded Flarion Technologies, which was instrumental in developing Flash OFDM, a cellular OFDM data system that served as a precursor to 4G cellular systems such as LTE and WiMAX. After Flarion was acquired by Qualcomm Technologies, Rangan worked as the Director of Engineering, leading efforts on OFDM infrastructure products. He joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at NYU Tandon (formerly NYU Polytechnic) in 2010. Rangan holds a B.A.Sc. in Applied Science from the University of Waterloo, and both an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include Wireless Communications, Signal Processing, Estimation, and Information Theory, and he is a Fellow of the IEEE.
