Biography

Sunhee Park is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Methodology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She previously served as a faculty member in the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University and in the Department of International Relations and European Studies at Central European University. Sunhee has held visiting positions in several esteemed institutions, including the Department of Methodology at the London School of Economics, the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University, the Department of Political Science at Yale University, and the Institute of State Governance Studies at Yonsei University. She earned her PhD in Political Science from Florida State University. Her research interests primarily encompass civil war, conflict resolution, bargaining dynamics, international interventions, and the role of international organizations. Sunhee employs a diverse range of methodologies, including formal modeling, large-n statistical analyses, text analysis, and qualitative case studies. Currently, she is focused on understanding the behavioral dynamics of warring groups at the bargaining table. In January 2016, she began working on a project funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research, titled 'Civil War Termination Bargaining: Power, Parties, Bargaining Behavior'. Her research has been published in reputable journals such as the American Journal of Political Science and International Studies Quarterly.
