Biography

Sunit Das studied literature and philosophy at the University of Michigan and Harvard University before graduating from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, in 2001. He pursued his PhD at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, where he studied the biology of neural stem cells. He entered the neurosurgical training program at Northwestern University in 2003. In 2010, he joined the faculty of the Division of Neurosurgery at St. Michael's Hospital, University of Toronto. His clinical interests include the surgical management of malignant brain tumors and tumors involving the skull base. His laboratory investigates the biology of stem cells in the normal brain and primary brain tumors. His clinical focus is on Neuro-oncology.
