Biography

Suranjan Panigrahi is a professor at Purdue Polytechnic University, specializing in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology. He has a comprehensive background in engineering design, artificial intelligence technologies, and their applications in biological systems, sensors, and automation. Panigrahi leads the Integrated Sensing Smart Solutions Laboratory, focusing on developing innovative sensor technologies and intelligent systems for various industries, including agriculture, healthcare, and environmental health. He has published over 170 technical papers and holds several patents in sensory technologies for precision agriculture. Panigrahi’s work includes collaboration on projects aimed at addressing critical societal challenges related to food safety and quality, health informatics, and environmental health. His leadership and research methodologies integrate human-centered engineering design with artificial intelligence, leading him to become a key innovator in his field.
