Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Sureesh Tikoo. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Sureesh Tikoo is a Professor and the Director of the Vaccinology Immunotherapeutics Program at the University of Saskatchewan's School of Public Health. His research focuses on molecular virology, particularly understanding how non-human adenoviruses interact with hosts to produce progeny virions. His lab aims to develop non-human adenoviruses as vaccination vectors for both animals and humans. Current research includes molecular characterization of non-human adenoviruses, the use of these viruses as vaccine delivery vectors, and exploring protein-protein interactions and the roles of both structural and non-structural proteins in viral replication. Tikoo is actively involved in advanced research, including grants aimed at characterizing adenoviral proteins and developing strategies for controlling viral diseases affecting livestock. He teaches courses in vaccinology and advanced virology.
Standard university-wide graduate requirements apply to most arts and science departments unless otherwise specified by the program.
