Biography

Dr. Suresh Subramaniam is a neurologist with extensive fellowship training in Stroke, Neuro-Ophthalmology, and Neuro-Otology. He holds a Clinical Professorship at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary, where he is actively involved in teaching and mentorship. He currently practices as a Stroke Neurologist at the Calgary Stroke Program, a Neuro-Ophthalmologist at the Eye Clinic of Rockyview Hospital, and a Neuro-Otologist in the Neurovestibular Program at South Health Campus. His primary research interests focus on acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, vascular inflammatory diseases, optic nerve involvement, and acute vertigo. He has published manuscripts in top-tier international medical journals including The Lancet Neurology, Stroke, and the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology. Dr. Subramaniam is a member of the Royal College of Canada Examination Board in Neurology and has received several teaching awards at the Cumming School of Medicine, reflecting his dedication to education and training in medicine.
