Professor Dr. Susan Christoffersen

Biography

Susan Christoffersen is a Professor at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and holds the William Downe BMO Chair in Finance. Her research focuses on the role of mutual funds in financial institutions and capital markets. She has published extensively in leading finance journals and her work has been cited by prominent media outlets including The New York International Herald Tribune and Bloomberg News Service. In addition to her academic contributions, Susan has received numerous research grants from organizations such as SSHRC, IFM2, FQRSC, and has been awarded by institutions like the Q-Group and Swiss Finance Institute. Her educational background includes a PhD from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia, and a BA (Hons.) in Economics from Queen's University. She has also served as Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Specialized Programs at Rotman.
