Biography

Susan L’Heureux is a Clinical Instructor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She works part-time as an adult/gerontology nurse practitioner at Comprehensive Women’s Health in Silver Spring, MD, specializing in chronic pain management at Nova Interventional Pain Management in Edgewood, MD. Prior to her current position, L’Heureux retired from bedside critical care practice at Washington Hospital Center in D.C. She began her nursing career as a nursing assistant and unit clerk, later earning an Associate Degree in Nursing from Montgomery College. L’Heureux holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration/Informatics from the University of Maryland, where she also initiated a cardiac surgery educational program at Union Memorial Hospital. She completed her post-master’s certificate in nursing education at Drexel University and is now a board-certified, licensed primary care nurse practitioner after finishing her adult gerontology nurse practitioner post-master’s program at Drexel University. Currently, she is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Drexel University with an expected completion in 2027.
