Dr. Susan Mccracken

Biography

Susan McCracken is a Professor in the Accounting & Financial Management Services at McMaster University. Her research primarily focuses on the decision-making processes of auditors, particularly in the context of negotiation and audit litigation. McCracken's substantial work investigates the management negotiations between auditors and clients that occur during the preparation and finalization of financial audits. She is the Area Chair for Accounting & Financial Management Services and the Director of the CPA-DeGroote Centre for Promotion of Accounting Education. McCracken holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Queen's University. Additionally, she is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant, recognized by Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario.
