Biography

Susan L. Ravnan earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. She was named a fellow of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists in 2004 and appointed to the California State Board of Pharmacy by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, serving as a board member from 2006 to 2010. Ravnan is passionate about advocating for advancements in pharmacy practice to improve patient care. She served as a faculty member at the University of the Pacific from 1998 to 2014, returning to the faculty in 2023. Her goal as a faculty member is to help students achieve their life goals. She met her spouse, Marcus C. Ravnan, also a Doctor of Pharmacy, who is a professor of pharmacy practice at the same institution. Her hobbies include walking and practicing martial arts, and she is an avid Star Wars enthusiast.
