Biography

Susan Waller is currently an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash Rural Health. Her extensive experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Education at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. With a background in Physiotherapy, she co-coordinates Clinical Skills courses, mentoring programs, and leads interprofessional education initiatives within her department. Previously, Susan was a Senior Lecturer in Rural Nursing and Allied Health at the Monash University Department of Rural Health between 2014 and 2020, during which she was instrumental in enhancing educational delivery in rural settings. Susan has contributed significantly to various interprofessional education workshops and has worked across multiple institutions to evaluate and implement programs tailored to healthcare education. She received her PhD in Interprofessional Education from the University of Queensland in 2010 and has led numerous research initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery and outcomes. Susan has also engaged with international collaborations, contributing to projects that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in education and health innovation.
