Dr. Susannah Bernheim

Biography

Susannah M. Bernheim, MD, MHS, is an Associate Professor at the Yale School of Medicine, specializing in General Internal Medicine. She holds leadership roles as the Director of Quality Measurement Programs at the Yale/New Haven Hospital and as Core Faculty in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. Her academic journey includes undergraduate degrees from Yale University and an MD from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Bernheim has undergone extensive postgraduate training in Family Medicine and completed additional research training in Geriatric Clinical Epidemiology and Aging Related Research. With a focus on health care quality, new payment policies, and health care disparities, she has developed performance measures in diverse care settings, supported by funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Studies. Dr. Bernheim's contributions to research have garnered recognition, with a significant record of publications and citations in the field.
