Biography

Susanne Assander is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in the Department of Women's and Children’s Health at Uppsala University, where she teaches in the occupational therapy program and serves as the international coordinator. Susanne works at Uppsala University Hospital, conducting research focused on reablement in elderly care. Her research is characterized by a rehabilitative approach and is well known for its emphasis on reablement. This project is part of the research program Healthy Aging Future, which is funded by FORTE and is scheduled to run from 2024 to 2030.
