Dr. Sushila Dalal

Biography

Sushila Dalal is an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago in the Department of Medicine-Gastroenterology. She is a renowned gastroenterologist with clinical expertise in inflammatory bowel disease, providing comprehensive care for patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In addition to her clinical practice, she is an active researcher, serving as a principal investigator for long-term studies aimed at testing the efficacy and safety of oral and intravenous drugs for inflammatory bowel disease. Dalal has published extensively, contributing over 30 scientific articles and 10 book chapters, and has served as an associate editor and ad-hoc reviewer for numerous medical journals. As a dedicated educator and mentor, she teaches medical students and fellows about pharmacology and the management of gastroenterological conditions.
