Biography

Suvrajeet Sen is a Professor in the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California and holds a concurrent appointment as a Professor in the Systems and Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Arizona. He has served as a program director at the National Science Foundation (NSF) where he was responsible for Operations Research and Service Enterprise Engineering programs, and he led initiatives in cyber infrastructure planning in the Engineering Directorate. Professor Sen has held various editorial positions, including as Area Editor for Operations Research and Associate Editor for the INFORMS Journal on Computing. He is a past Chair of the INFORMS Telecommunications Section and was a founding member of the INFORMS Optimization Section. As a recognized Fellow of INFORMS, he has been invited as a keynote speaker to international conferences and has participated in tutorials across major U.S. cities and internationally. His research interests include modeling and optimization technologies focusing on applications in infrastructure systems such as electric power markets, telecommunications networks, and transportation systems.
